How to set up White label

White label runs up to eight client businesses under your brand, from one dashboard, on one invoice: $369 a month, or $3,690 a year. Each client business has its own team, its own approvals and its own weekly report. The same settings put a wholesale hosting partner’s name on the product.

Open Settings, then White label. The card at the top shows what is done and what to do next, with a button that takes you there. There are four steps.

1. Your brand

  • Agency name: on every report, every client email and your dashboard address, up to 80 characters.
  • Logo: a PNG or JPEG, up to 256 KB. A square logo about 512 pixels wide looks best.
  • Main color and second color.
  • Support email: when a client replies to an email, the reply comes here.
  • Website: linked at the bottom of your clients’ emails.

Press Save your brand. Your reports and emails use it from then on.

2. Your sending domain

Your clients’ emails go from an address on your own domain, like hello@youragency.com.

  1. Type Your domain, like youragency.com, and The part before the @, like hello. Press Add domain. An address at a mailbox provider, such as a free webmail domain, cannot be used: it has to be a domain you own.
  2. Add each record shown, where your domain’s DNS is managed, exactly as shown: one that proves the domain is yours, three that sign your emails, two for the address that receives bounced emails, and, only if your domain has none yet, a recommended one for email policy.
  3. Press Check now. Changes can take up to an hour to be seen, sometimes a day.
  4. When it says Verified, press Send me a test email to see an email in your brand in your own inbox.

Your clients’ reports only ever go from your own domain, so they start once it is verified.

3. Your clients’ weekly reports

Every business on your account is listed. Next to each one, enter the client’s email, and their first name if you like, then press Save.

Every Monday, each business’s weekly report goes to its client by email, from your domain, under your brand: how the business did that week, what went well, what to watch and the next steps. Replies come to your support email. The email carries your name and website, and nothing of ours.

  • Send the latest report now sends the newest report again, for example to a new client.
  • Stop the email stops the weekly email to that client. You can add the address again at any time.

4. Your dashboard address

Your dashboard can open on an address of your own, with your name and logo on it. Use a subdomain, like clients.youragency.com: the top of your domain stays on your own website.

  1. Type the address and press Add address.
  2. Add the two records shown where your domain’s DNS is managed: one points the address to your dashboard, the other proves it is yours.
  3. Press Check DNS. Once both records check out, the secure certificate is switched on for you. When the address shows Live, open it with Open your dashboard address.

On your address, the sign-in page and the dashboard carry your name, logo and colors, and your support email is the help contact: our support chat does not show there. On an agency’s address nobody can sign up: only you and the people you invite sign in. On a wholesale partner’s address, the partner’s customers sign up and work there, under the partner’s name.

What your clients see

A dashboard on your address with your name and colors, reports and emails from your domain, and sites with no badge and no footer credit. Our name shows nowhere your client looks: the dashboard, the reports, the emails and the sites.

When a client connects Instagram, YouTube or another network, that network’s own consent screen names the app that posts: WPMaven. No setting can change that screen.

Before you hand a site over

Give the business its own domain, and add your domain for email in step 2. Until then, the site runs on a free wpmaven.site address and its emails go out from our address.
