How to connect your own AI
Every business WPMaven runs is agent-callable. If you already work with your own AI, such as Claude or ChatGPT, you can connect it to WPMaven through our official connector and ask it to work on your site directly: write and publish pages and posts, and keep them fresh.
What it can and cannot do
- It reaches your own sites only, and in this first version it works on site content: posts and pages.
- It cannot post to your social channels; your operators do that, with your yes.
- It does not change your site’s settings, plugins or theme, or your plan.
Create a token
- In your dashboard, open Settings, then Connect your AI.
- Under Connector tokens, give the token a name, for example “Claude on my laptop”, and press Create token.
- Copy the token right away. For your security it is shown only once; after you leave the page it cannot be shown again.
Your AI signs in with the token instead of your account. Create one per assistant, so you can revoke each one on its own. Revoke stops a token at once.
Connect claude.ai
- In claude.ai, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste your endpoint,
https://api.wpmaven.ai/mcp, and use your connector token as the credential. - Ask Claude something like “publish a post on my site about this week’s opening hours”. That is it.
ChatGPT and other assistants
Developer-mode connectors in ChatGPT work the same way: add the same endpoint and token there. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each write by hand before it goes through.
Any other assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) connects the same way, with the endpoint and the token.
What it uses
- Reading is free: your site’s details, your actions this month and your latest posts.
- A draft is free.
- A publish uses one action from your monthly allowance, the same as your operators’ work, and a published post or page is also one of the month’s pages or articles. A failed run never uses an action.
When the month’s actions or pages are used up, nothing goes live: your assistant tells you when your allowance resets, and under Billing you can add actions or change your plan. It can keep writing drafts meanwhile.
Your yes
The token is your standing yes for what your own assistant publishes: a publish through it goes live at once, without waiting under Waiting for you the way your operators’ work does. Ask it to publish only what you want live, or have it write drafts and publish them when you are ready.
During your $1 first week, a page or article your assistant publishes is saved as a draft and goes live on day 8, when your plan starts, if you continue.
For developers
The endpoint, the tools, the limits and the errors are in the API reference.
