How to fix a channel that stopped posting

Channels disconnect for ordinary reasons: a password change, a permission that expired, or a network changing its rules.

Check the channel first

  1. Go to Your team → Connect.
  2. Find the channel. Anything working says Live.

If it does not say Live, that is your answer.

Reconnect it

Select Connect on that channel again and sign in. This is the fix for most problems, because it renews the permission that expired.

If it says Live but nothing is publishing

Check two things:

  1. Is anything waiting for you? Posts are not published until you approve them. Look on your Home for awaiting your approval.
  2. Have you used this month’s actions? Check Billing. If you are at your limit, new posts wait until the month resets or you buy a pack. During the $1 first week, the limit is the week’s 5 finished things.

On X, a post that goes out without its link is working as intended: posts to X never carry a link. Add your site link to your X bio.

Channels that are limited on purpose

Some networks limit what WPMaven can do until they approve it:

  • Facebook and Instagram connect only for accounts we invite until Meta approves WPMaven.
  • TikTok keeps posts private to your own account, which must be set to private, until TikTok approves WPMaven.
  • Pinterest connects, but no pin goes out until Pinterest approves WPMaven.
  • Google Business Profile cannot be connected until Google approves WPMaven.
  • LinkedIn posts to your personal feed, not to a company page.

If one of these behaves that way, it is the network’s rule and reconnecting will not change it.

Still stuck

Tell your Co-CEO what you tried and what you saw. Include the channel name and anything the screen said.
