How to choose a video
Your plan includes videos each month: 1 on Launch, 2 on Operator, 4 on Scale and 12 shared on White label. One included video is one video of any kind. We recommend the kind that fits your business and its goal, and you choose. Nothing is made, and nothing is charged, before you approve it.
Where you choose
When a video is due, or when you ask for one, a video choice waits for you under Waiting for you. Open it and you see:
- how many of your included videos are left this month, for example “You have 1 of your 2 included videos left this month.”, repeated on each option as “1 of 2 included videos left”;
- our pick first, marked Recommended, with one sentence on why it fits your business and your goal;
- one to three other options;
- on each option, what it is, its AI label and what it costs: “Uses 1 included video”, “Uses 1 included video + $3” or “$6 as an extra”;
- how much of your extra-video limit is left this month;
- where a bigger plan includes more videos, which one.
The pick is based on the kind of business you run (a store, a local service, a creator, a restaurant or a digital product) and the goal of the video (a launch, selling, followers or bookings). Both are shown on the screen, and you can change them; the recommendation changes with them.
The kinds of video
| Kind | What you get | With an included video | With no included video left | Label on the video |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI video | One of your real photos brought to life with motion, on-screen text and an AI voice | Uses 1 included video | $3 as an extra | Includes AI |
| Premium AI video | The same, filmed by our top video model, in one 8-second take | Uses 1 included video + $3 | $6 as an extra | Includes AI |
Every video starts from your real photos, never from a product we invent. If your business has no photos yet, the choice screen tells you what to add, with a button that opens the upload. When more kinds open, they appear on the same screen with their price, shown before anything is made. If none of the kinds open today fits your business, the screen says so, and your included video waits for you.
The Minimum plan has no included videos: every kind is sold at its own price there.
Approve it
Select the option you want and approve it. The approval repeats the exact amount and when it is billed. Nothing paid runs before you approve, and if the price changes before you do, you are asked to look again: “The price of this video changed. Please look at it again.”
A difference (the ”+ $3”) or an extra video is billed:
- only once the video is delivered and has passed our checks;
- on your next invoice, as its own line named after the video, for example “Premium AI video: included video + $3”;
- on yearly billing, once a month on an invoice of their own;
- never with a promotion on your plan applied to it.
It also needs Extra videos switched on in Billing, and it counts toward the limit you set there. When something stands in the way, Approve is switched off and says why right next to it, with a button straight to the fix:
| You see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Turn on extra videos to approve this $6 video | Turn on extra videos opens Billing |
| This would pass your $20 extra-video limit ($14 used) | Raise the limit opens Billing, or pick an option that uses an included video |
| A request for photos, such as “Add 3 photos of this product” | Add photos opens the upload |
| Our team is checking your last video that did not pass; new videos start after that check | Nothing: it starts by itself after the check |
| Videos start again as soon as your payment goes through. | Update your card opens Billing |
The finished video comes back to you like every post: you approve it before it is published anywhere. Posting it is one action, the post, however many networks it goes to. See How to approve, ask for changes, or reject what your team wants to publish.
When a video waits
Some videos are approved now and made later. The option says so, with the date, before you approve it.
- During the $1 first week no video is made. You choose the kind, you see our pick as a storyboard, and the video is made on day 8, when your plan starts: “Your first video renders on day 8, when your plan starts.”
- If you subscribed from the EU or the UK on an account that has not asked us to start right away (an account from before that box existed), included videos wait until your 14-day withdrawal window ends, and the date replaces “day 8” when it is later. Extra videos you pay for do not wait. See If you subscribe from the EU or the UK.
- On Launch’s half-price first month, or a free month (such as a 4th month free), only an included AI video is made straight away. A premium AI video or an extra video is made on your first full-price day, and its option says so with the date, for example: “Renders on October 20, when your full-price month starts.” The included video’s option adds: “If this video does not pass our checks, we make it again on October 20, your first full-price day, at no charge.”
What the AI label means
Every video with AI in it says so:
- On the video itself, a small “Includes AI” mark sits in the bottom-right corner for the whole video.
- In the post text, one line is added on every network: “AI-generated video.” or “Made with an AI voice.”
- On YouTube, the upload is marked as altered or synthetic content, which YouTube can show to viewers.
- On TikTok, the video carries no text on it. TikTok’s own AI-generated content label is always switched on for a video we made, and the line in the post text is added as everywhere else.
An AI voice or an AI person in your video speaks for your business, never as a customer. It never says “I bought this” or “I love it”, never gives a testimonial, and never promises results or income. When a video shows your name, a price, an offer or your web address, they come from your store, never from the AI.
When a video does not pass our checks
Every video is checked before it reaches you, and every kind of video has a cost limit. A video that does not pass our checks, or reaches its limit, is stopped:
- you are not charged for it;
- the included video it used is given back;
- you get a notice: “Your AI video did not pass our checks, so you are not charged and your included video is back.”
After one such video in a month, our team looks at what went wrong before that business’s next video starts. The choice screen says so while it waits, and the notice tells you: “Our team checks it before the next video starts.”
Included videos, extra videos and your plan
Included videos reset with your monthly allowance, and unused ones do not carry over. Each business you add on Operator or Scale brings its own (2 or 4). For the full list, and for extra videos in Billing, see What each plan includes.
