WPMaven Payments Terms
Last Updated: October 12, 2026
These terms apply when your store takes payments with WPMaven Payments. They add to our Terms of Service, which still apply. "We", "us" and "WPMaven" mean YOTAKO S.A.; "you" means the person or company that owns the store.

2. How WPMaven Payments Works
Payments on your store are processed by Stripe. When you turn on WPMaven Payments, we ask Stripe to open an account for your business, connected to WPMaven. It has no Stripe dashboard of its own: you see its balance, payouts, payments and tax documents in your WPMaven dashboard.
Your business is the seller of everything your store sells (the merchant of record). Each payment is made in your business's name, and Stripe adds it to your balance, less WPMaven's fee (section 4).
Only you and your admins can set up how your store gets paid. You choose the country your business is registered in when you start, and it cannot be changed later.
If you link a Stripe account you already have, payments go straight to that account instead. Stripe then charges its own fees to that account and pays you out on the schedule set there, refunds come out of that account's balance, and you answer disputes in your own Stripe dashboard.
3. Stripe's Agreement and Checks
Before your store can take payments, Stripe shows you its own agreement, the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which is between you and Stripe.
Stripe checks your identity and your business, as the law requires for anyone who takes payments. It asks for these details itself, inside your WPMaven dashboard, and it can ask for more later. Until it has them, Stripe can pause payments or payouts on your store. We tell you when that happens, and you finish the details in your dashboard.
4. What WPMaven Charges
For each sale, WPMaven keeps a fee from the payment before it reaches your balance:
- A payment fee of 3.4% of the amount paid, plus the equivalent of 0.30 US dollars in your store's currency. It pays the processing fees WPMaven pays Stripe for your sale. Stripe's own fee for a given card can be higher or lower; your payment fee stays the same.
- For products we print and ship for you, their printing and shipping cost, as estimated when your buyer pays.
WPMaven takes no other share of your sales. If a price does not cover these costs, your store cannot take that payment, and we tell you. Your WPMaven plan is billed separately, as our Terms of Service say.
On a Stripe account you linked, WPMaven's fee is the printing and shipping cost only, and Stripe charges its own fees to that account.
Your monthly statement, under Income in your dashboard, shows each sale, these fees, your refunds and what you kept.
5. When You Get Paid
Each payment becomes available in your balance 7 days after the sale, or after the longer wait Stripe requires in your country. Stripe pays your available balance out to the bank account you added, every week on Monday.
Once your account is 30 days old, you can also send your available balance to a debit card in minutes, where Stripe offers it, for the fee shown before you confirm.
If a payout comes back from your bank, we tell you, and the money stays in your balance until your bank details are corrected.
6. Refunds to Your Buyers
You can refund your buyers from your dashboard or from your store's admin. A refund goes back to the buyer's payment method and comes out of your balance.
- Stripe keeps its processing fee when you refund, so the payment fee of that sale is not returned to you.
- If nothing has been printed yet and you refund the whole order, the print order is canceled and its printing and shipping cost is returned to you.
- Once an order is being made, its printing and shipping cost is not returned, and the most you can refund is what you received for it.
- When a refund is caused by us, for example an order that could not be printed, WPMaven bears the processing fee and returns its whole fee.
Refunds you owe your buyers under the law that applies to your sales are yours to give.
7. Disputes and Chargebacks
A buyer can ask their bank to reverse a payment. When that happens, we tell you, and we look into it with Stripe.
- While the dispute is open, the disputed amount is held back from your balance.
- If the bank decides for you, the held amount comes back to your balance. If it decides for the buyer, the money goes back to the buyer, and the cost of printing and shipping the order stays yours, as for any seller.
- Stripe charges a fee for a dispute. It is taken from your next sales, and given back to you if Stripe returns it.
We may ask you for proof of the sale or of the delivery.
On a Stripe account you linked, you answer disputes yourself in your Stripe dashboard, before Stripe's deadline.
8. If You Owe Money
What you owe WPMaven, such as a dispute fee, is taken from your next sales, never more than your share of a sale.
Refunds and disputes can take your Stripe balance below zero. Stripe can then recover the amount from your next payments or from your bank account, as its agreement provides.
9. Currencies
Your store sells in one currency, the one you chose for it, and your buyers pay in it. Stripe pays you out in the currency of your bank account and converts the money when the two differ.
10. Taxes
You are responsible for the taxes on your sales, such as VAT or sales tax, and for your own tax returns.
Your monthly statements, and the tax forms Stripe prepares for your account, are under Income in your dashboard.
11. What You Cannot Sell
You may not use WPMaven Payments for any business or product that Stripe does not allow. Stripe lists them in its restricted businesses list. Section 7 of our Terms of Service applies too.
12. Stopping WPMaven Payments
To stop taking payments with WPMaven Payments, write to support@wpmaven.ai and we turn payments off for your store.
When your plan ends, a site we host becomes a read-only copy with checkout off, stays live for 14 days, then is taken offline, as section 5.5 of our Terms of Service says.
Money left in your balance is paid out to your bank once open refunds and disputes are settled.
If you linked your own Stripe account, you can also remove WPMaven's access in your Stripe dashboard; your store then stops taking payments.
13. Your Data and Stripe
To open your account, we send Stripe your business's name, the country you chose, your website's address, your business's description and the email address of your WPMaven account.
Stripe asks you directly for the identity and bank details it needs. We do not see or keep your bank account number.
For each sale, we send Stripe the amount and currency, the order number, your store's name and your buyer's email address, so Stripe can send them a receipt. Your buyers type their card details into Stripe's own payment form; they never reach WPMaven.
Stripe uses this data to process payments, check identities as the law requires, prevent fraud and pay you out, under its own privacy policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may change these terms. When we make a material change, we tell you by email or in your dashboard, and it takes effect 30 days later. If you disagree, you can stop using WPMaven Payments before then.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, without regard to conflict of law principles, and section 17 of our Terms of Service applies to any dispute about them.
