About the role
As a Product Designer at WPMaven, you'll shape how someone meets the team that runs their business. You'll tackle the unique challenge of making complex AI capabilities feel simple and delightful, creating experiences that empower users of all skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end user experiences for WPMaven's AI features.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
- Conduct user research to understand pain points and validate design decisions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure design feasibility and quality implementation.
- Develop and maintain our design system for consistency across the product.
- Design intuitive interfaces for complex AI interactions (chat, suggestions, automation).
- Create responsive designs that work beautifully across devices.
- Iterate based on user feedback and usage data.
Requirements
Experience
- 4+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS or developer tools.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work.
- Experience shipping products that users love.
Skills
- Expert proficiency with Figma (or similar design tools).
- Strong understanding of interaction design and usability principles.
- Ability to translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity and iterative design processes.
Nice to have
- Experience designing AI/ML product interfaces.
- Experience designing approval, review or inbox-style flows.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Experience with motion design and micro-interactions.
- Background in user research methods.
